What is an Adrenal Snack and why do I bother?
I always tell my clients “Be sure and get your adrenal snacks in every 2 hours.”….and then I see the eyes roll. Nobody has time to eat anymore, much less, every couple of hours. I truly believe that if everyone REALLY understood how important our adrenal glands were, we would be a much healthier society. This precious and very busy gland is responsible for MOST of our hormones. Yes, I said hormones, the big ones too like Estrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone, and more but it’s only recognized as an adrenaline supplier. Adrenaline is important but it’s waaaaay over-utilized. What I mean is….We push our adrenals too hard and then we ‘live’ on the adrenaline high ALL DAY, EVERYDAY. Is this bad? YES! Adrenaline is toxic and was only created for emergencies. Adrenaline will cause you to be over-weight, anxious, cranky, unfocsued and create a ‘busy-ness’ that makes you appear a little crazy to others. How do we keep them calm and our hormones balanced? We ‘feed’ our liver, which in turn, leaves our adrenal glands alone. It’s pretty simple really…… Eat more often (good things) and lose weight, stay focused and eliminate all the hormone issues. Adrenal snacks all contain a glucose, a potassium, and a sodium. BAM! Here are some good ones to choose from…
