Cranberry Sauce/Relish
This sauce is so ‘nutrient’ packed it’s unbelievable. Who woulda though that cranberries and oranges would make such a great team? It’s good all year round so stock up on cranberries during the holidays and store in the freezer for the other months.
Ingredients
2 cups cranberries
1 orange - peeled and sliced in rounds
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 pinch of salt
1/2 cup of raw honey
Directions
Simmer cranberries in water until cranberries open up. cover if you wish. You may hear them pop open.
Add your cinnamon and salt
Stir frequently and after simmering for a while it everything will thicken.
Add 1/2C of raw honey and stir! oh my, this is my favorite part.
The neurological system loves glucose and this dish is full of it. Raw honey and oranges will satisfy the need for glucose plus you have a healthy side dish to add to your menu for the holidays! Plus the cranberries will support the kidneys and liver.
