Homemade French Fries


Includes fat-free version

 

Ingredients

2 pounds russet potatoes

2 tsp. avocado oil (omit for fat free)

Pinch of Himalayan salt

½ tsp. garlic powder

optional: 1 tsp each finely minced sage, oregano, rosemary, and thyme

NOTE: Herbs will stick as long as the fries are moist.

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Peel and slice the potatoes into “fries.” (you can leave the peels on for extra zinc.)

Place in large bowl and sprinkle with oil and seasonings and mix well.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Arrange the fries on the tray so none are overlapping.

Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping once halfway through. Remove when the edges turn golden and crispy.

Air-fryer instructions: arrange in an air fryer and cook on 400 degrees for 12 min. Makes 3 to 4 servings

You can dip these fries with vegan cheese, Homemade ketchup, or white gravy.
