Super Tea

I have a 10-year-old friend named Bryan and he is totally ‘into’ foods and I’m convinced that he will be the next Alton Brown one day. He has been growing his own herbs and made this ‘super’ tea. He named it ‘super tea’ because he said it gives him energy. I think it’s ‘super’ because of all it’s healing properties. Either way, it’s a win-win and I thought I’d share it with ya’ll…..with his permission of course.

Ingredients:

10 leaves of Pineapple Sage (Any variety will work)

2 stems of fresh Thyme

4 fresh mint leaves

2 Dandelion leaves (yes, you can clip these out of your yard as long as you didn’t spray with pesticides recently)

Directions:

Steep for about 10-15 min. remove leaves and enjoy with a touch of honey and fresh, lemon juice, if desired.

**** he added a special note: cut the dandelions at the base of the stem and add the whole leaf*****
